Baccarat

One of the oldest games in the history of casinos, the origin of Baccarat can be traced back to the 15th century when King Charles VII ruled France. Blackjack

Also commonly referred to as Twenty-One and Pontoon, this game is played with a single deck of 52 cards or more depending upon the number of players. The usual game of Blackjack can have one or more players other than the dealer. Every player has to take on the game independently, the sole focus remaining on getting a card with a value more than the dealer’s hand. This value can be equal to 21 or anything lesser.

In a game of Blackjack, cards between 2 and 10 clock their face value as score while aces garner a score of 11 or 1 depending upon the player’s choice. Face cards Joker, King and Queen hold an individual score of 10. When the game begins, the player plays his hand asking for additional cards while seeing to it that the score does not exceed 21. If it does, then the player gets set to lose the hand as well as the bet. After the players, the dealer gets the chance to play and in case his score crosses the 21 limit, he loses to all players that have scored a value of 21 or close to that. If neither the players nor the dealer are at fault, the lower hand loses the bet.

Craps

In the game of Craps, the motive of players is to gamble on the result of a single roll of dice or on a sequence of rolls. Craps can be played either by gambling money against other players or a bank. The game starts with a player acting as a shooter or the one who rolls the dice. Two dice can be rolled at a time.

Before the shooter rolls, the players have to guess on the outcome of the dice roll. The shooter, too, has to place the minimum bet on whether the roll will cross the Pass Line or remain at the Don’t Pass Line. While the Pass Line refers to right bets on the shooter’s roll, the Don’t Pass Line signifies the wrong bets. Despite a turn, a player can refuse to be a shooter and can instead continue to bet on the shooter’s roll.

The initial motive of the shooter is to establish a point. If the dice roll result is 2, 3 or 12, then it is ‘craps’, signifying players in the Pass Line losing the bet. An outcome of 7 or 11 indicates a win for players in the Pass Line bet. A score of 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 or 10 signifies the establishment of a point which indicates the shooter has to continue rolling either for the point number or for 7. If the shooter is able to strike any number between 4 and 10 except 7, then players in the Pass Line bet win. If it is a strike is worth 7, then the Pass Line loses.
